Then, Márquez pointed out: “This is why we have made contact with “Texas Medical Center“, which is one of the largest hospitals in the world and is located in Houston, a city considered the largest health cluster globally, with 8 million patients per year.”

“We met with the public relations representative of Texas Medical Center with whom we discussed the possibility of establishing an American medical facility in San Miguel de Allende. We need a hospital certified by the American and international health organizations and authorities, in order to be able to provide this kind of world-class service not only to Americans but to people from all over the world,” he said.

“We will also ask the Secretary of Health, Francisco Ortiz Aldana, his collaboration to generate mechanisms in order to send our local physicians to practice professionally in the United States.”

Marquez said that: “the state authorities and the consul of Mexico in the United States will be following up on these proposals that are considered feasible”.

Miguel Márquez concluded saying that he made a commitent with  the migrants’ families, and he will keep his word.
