Queretaro, Mexico Jun. 22 (Notimex) .- The city of Querétaro will be transformed into a great stage to host the sixth edition of the Contemporary Iberian Festival, which will take place in different venues and public squares between July 15 and 29, with the presence of consecrated exponents like Aída Gómez, Manuel Segovia and Cristóbal Reyes.

The director of the Proart Foundation, Adriana Covarrubias, reminded at a press conference that this festival is organized with the support of institutions of the public and private sectors, national and international, under the initiative of the Proart foundation.

“The program is set in the new generation of flamenco and will be attended by Marco Flores, David Coria, Patricia Guerrero, María Juncal, Adela Campallo, El Choro, Iván Vargas and Gema Moneo, among others to whom will join some veterans of the teaching like Cristóbal Reyes and Juan Paredes, “she said.

In addition, the flamencos share a poster in Ibérica Contemporánea 2017 with current figures of the Spanish classic such as Aída Gómez, Daniel Doña, Sara Calero, Christian Lozano or Mariano Bernal, and will also meet great talents of classical and contemporary dance, disciplines represented by Ask La Cour, Susanne Grinder and Daegu Company of South Korea.

They are all part of a group of 80 invited artists who will star in 21 galas and events, and will teach 96 courses and workshops, said Aida Covarrubias.

The mayor Marcos Aguilar Vega commented that an influx of 22 thousand attendees is expected, which would represent an economic spill close to 44 million pesos.

“It is an initiative that the local government supports in all that it represents, because of the advantages it offers to the municipality, it is a project that has consolidated over time,” acknowledged the mayor.
