According to Periodico Correo, Guanajuato based newspaper, a businessman of Korean nationality was shot dead in the municipality of Moroleón, located 90 miles south of San Miguel, close to the stateline bordering Michoacán.
The tragic incident took place on Querétaro street of this municipality, during the early morning hours of Friday October 27.
It is reported that the deceased was in the textile business, and was allegedly victim of an assault as he was walking on the street in broad daylight, suspects got out of a vehicle and shot the victim at point blank range.
Local authorities cordoned off the crime scene and experts of the Forensic Medical Service picked up the body.
