Municipal economic support to improve public spaces in San Miguel de Allende

San Miguel de Allende, Gto.- Through the following programs: “Educational Infrastructure” (Infraestructura Educativa), “Improvement for Housing” (Mejoramiento para la Vivienda) and “Fruit Orchards” (Huertos Frutales), the Municipal Government of San Miguel de Allende is supporting two communities with an investment of $202,860 pesos .

Students and teachers of the “Melchor Ocampo” Elementary, located at the “Rancho Nuevo de Tlaxcalilla” community, received the visit of Municipal Administration officials (including mayor Ricardo Villareal), at the the school cafeteria, where a roof was built and new benches were acquired, which meant an investment of 111,000 pesos.

The mayor validated the delivery of 150 trees for 30 families of the community “Boca de la Cañada”, as part of “Fruit Orchards” (“Huertos Frutales”) program, with the objective of creating a culture of cultivation and commercialization of these products to generate an extra family income. This initiative involved an investment of 8,000 pesos.

In the same community, construction materials for the paving and rehabilitation of the public square were delivered, residents congregated for the inauguration of this new space, with an investment of $20,760 pesos.

The application of the program “Housing Improvement” (Mejoramiento para la Vivienda), was applied in both communities (Rancho Nuevo de Tlaxcalilla and Boca de la Cañada), with an investment of $71,100 pesos for the benefit of 18 families in 2016.

In that sense, 30 families have received the same kind of economic support this year.
