Guanajuato is becoming a popular location for video and film productions

The magnificent sceneries of the state have been promoted thanks to the projection, promotion and diffusion at a national and international level by the State Tourism Secretariat, featuring the architectural beauty of Guanajuato through promotional videos of world-renowned artists.

One of the most recent videos filmed in San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato, is Mexican singer and recording artist Luis Miguel’s “La fiesta del Mariachi” shot on December last year,

Also the Korean-American super star singer Nam Yoon-do, better known as Eric Nam, recently filmed a video in the “Best City in the World, San Miguel de Allende”, Guanajuato.

The Secretary of Tourism of the State, Fernando Olivera Rocha, stated that the Secretariat gives total support to these type of footage. “This is promotion for the state and we will support it as we have been doing, since the creation of the Cinematographic Support Law. These videos have millions of reproductions on YouTube in the case of Eric Nam; the artist is a sensation in Asia, it is an honor that through his music we can showcase the marvels that Guanajuato and San Miguel have to offer”.

Some of the most known videos recorded in Guanajuato and San Miguel are:

  • – “Mi mayor necesidad“, at that time, by its vocalist Marco Antonio Solís, in the year 1992.
  • -“Nunca te olvidaré“, Enrique Iglesias filmed his videoclip  and the song was main theme of a Mexican soap opera, on the steps of the Teatro Juárez, in Guanajuato.
  • -“Eres mi religión” Maná recorded their hit in Guanajuato a few year back.
  • -“El verdadero amor perdona” by Prince Royce featuring Maná in San Miguel de Allende.
  • – “Gimme, gimme“, by Inna.
  • – “Doy un paso atrás“, by Samo.
  • – “Viernes de webeo“, by Mexican band Panteón Rococó.
  • – “Volveré“, by singer Laureano Brizuela.
  • – “Inevitable“, by Banda Music group El Recodo.
  • – “Me falta un corazón” by Edwin Luna and la Trakalosa de Monterrey.
  • -“Una y otra vez” by Manuel Medrano, a well-known Colombian singer  in 2016.
