A three-year-old child had to wait more than 30 minutes to receive medical attention from paramedics of the Cruz Roja after being hit by a motor vehicle in the downtown area of the city. Civilians set up a temporary stretcher made of cardboard and moved the victim to the nearest hospital as the ambulance did not show up.

The event occurred around 4:30 in the afternoon on Calle 20 de Noviembre, almost on the corner of Leandro Valle, in the San José neighborhood.

The boy was walking with his parents, when apparently the child got off the sidewalk, whent a white BMW SUV passed by the and accidentaly hit the child.

The driver of the car did not stop, instead he kept driving to property on Calle 20 de noviembre in order to put away the vehicle.
