Women’s’ Heart Health and a Moving Experience

The Midday Rotary Club of San Miguel announces exciting changes as well as an exciting speaker.  First, our featured guest speaker will be Dr. Margarita Karina Cruz who will be speaking on heart health for women.  Dr. Cruz is an echocardiography cardiologist.

The other big news is that the club’s weekly meetings are now taking place from 9 to 10:30 AM at the popular San Miguelessen Cafeteria at Stirling Dickinson 28.  The new start time includes an optional breakfast.

Midday Club President Ivar Schacke said the move was being made to a more central location within the Libramiento, as a convenience to both members and visitors.  Schacke added that the change of time to 9 AM has overwhelming support from the club’s membership.

It is expected the earlier time will draw more visitors and potential new members who otherwise may not have been available during the middle part of the day.  “We are most grateful to Hotel Mission for their hospitality.  We thank them for all they have done for the Midday Rotary Club” Schacke said.

The Midday Rotary Club of San Miguel was established in 2005 with 28 charter members.  During its 13 years, Rotary Midday has played a major role in establishing a school for the deaf, water harvesting initiative, a mobile library, and several other worthwhile projects that provide educational and health benefits to the local community.

Rotary is where neighbors, friends and problem-solvers share ideas, join leaders and take action to create lasting change. For more information, contact President Ivar Schacke at [email protected]
