On PACE with Better Health

Health Services organizations in Mexico are fighting a great battle to ensure that their healthcare providers provide the highest quality continuous medical care. This is often due to the lack of basic training and the lack of opportunities for continuing medical education, especially in the most marginalized areas of the country.

As in many places in the world, the General Practitioner in Mexico receives only five years of academic training, one year of internship and one year of social service in communities. When comparing areas of southern Mexico with the rest of the country, we find that there are fewer specialists available involved in health care and other health areas such as nursing. In addition, as one moves farther from medical centers, the knowledge gap widens, the quality and standards of care are further degraded due to limited infrastructure and isolation.  Enter PACE MD to the scene.

PACE MD is a social impact company whose mission is to train the best health providers in Latin America with the most recognized medical emergency training programs in Mexico.  Through its study programs and innovative ideas, PACE MD is making great strides in changing the paradigm. PACE is recognized for the high quality of its instructors, as well as methods and strategies to reduce pain, suffering, and premature death.

The person behind this is Mr. Haywood Hall. Mr. Hall has built an exceptional organization that provides emergency medical training programs throughout Mexico.

Mr. Haywood Hall

He provides training in about ten different areas of emergency medicine, including American Heart Association training.  Since January of this year, he has trained 1300 campesinos in emergency medicine as it can be applied in rural areas. He is responsible for putting defibrillators in San Miguel and training many citizens in CPR.

Join the Midday Club of San Miguel de Allende this Tuesday, November 19th, to hear a fascinating success story by Haywood Hall.  Doors open at 9 AM, the meeting begins at 9:30 AM with the speaker scheduled between 9:45 and 10:15 AM. We’re located at Los Arcos at #27 Stirling Dickinson
