The project maintains an active economy with more than 300 actions and 187 million pesos of investment; and includes the contribution of organized civil society, for the delivery of more than 50 thousand aid packages.

San Miguel de Allende.- “Here, we are standing, Economic Reactivation Program”; These are actions achieved with a record investment of approximately 1.3 billion pesos, jointly and permanently initiated by the municipal and state governments as a breath of hope for the residents of San Miguel in the face of the Covid-19 health contingency.

The municipal president of SMA, Luis Alberto Villarreal García, and the governor of Guanajuato Diego Sinhue Rodríguez Vallejo set a precedent in the social and economic history of the state. Together they detailed, from the Angela Peralta theater, each commitment, and action for the people of San Miguel.

Mayor Villarreal García stated that, in advance, his government set the tone in the prevention, care, and containment measures of Covid-19; which allows San Miguel de Allende to remain a national and international benchmark for its hygiene protocols until now. This positions the city as a safe and exemplary destination.

“You are women and men who have transformed their fears into hope, that decided to walk with us and all together we are demonstrating that here we are standing! We are much bigger than this pandemic, we are the people of San Miguel de Allende”, said the mayor.

Governor Diego Sinhue Rodríguez reiterated his solid commitment to San Miguel, “San Miguel and the state of Guanajuato, we are standing! Everything we do in San Miguel de Allende we do with families in mind, considering their needs and opportunities, thinking especially about the future, that is my commitment, you are not alone, you have the support of your governor, “he said.
