A 33 year old man was wounded by gunshot in the stomach. Unofficial sources said the injured had been arrested in recent days by the Municipal Police for carrying a firearm.
The incident occurred Thursday afternoon around 4:30 pm, at the Primero de Mayo street in Palmita de Landeta.
The wounded man was taken by relatives to receive medical help at the General Hospital, as it is located a few meters from where the attack occurred.
Elements of the Municipal Police and Public Ministry agents arrived to the scene, in order to collect evidence and run tests to clarify the facts.
So far the General Deputy Attorney of the State Region D based in San Miguel de Allende has made no statement about the situation.
