Human head found in downtown Guanajuato
A human head was left on a bench at Calzada de los Heroes in the city of Guanajuato, on the early morning hours of Thursday June 23, between the “Bridge of Love” and the emblematic Calzada de los Heroes’ arch.
The sinister discovery occurred around 2.30 am, by Municipal Public Security agents assigned to surveillance of the downtown Guanajuato area.
Next to the head, a sign with a message was left, as reported by municipal public security personnel.

Elements of the Municipal Police secured the perimeter, and an Assistant Attorney General Office specialized Homicide Unit arrived onsite to proceed with the investigation.
The Public Prosecutor ordered the transfer of the head to the Forensic Medical Service and the immediate monitoring of video surveillance cameras footage.
