The Japanese gala could not be complete without a glimpse at Kaori Momoi’s artistic trajectory; her free and eager spirit conquers every scene of her work. Momoi is not only one of the best actresses of her country, but also a cinema’s director, singer, essayist, dancer and teacher.

As part of the openning ceremony, Mexican actor, Damian Bichir will be honored.

Great response on social networks

Sara Hoch, GIFF’s director, said that everything is ready for the festival to begin and San Miguel de Allende will be transformed into a “gala city”.

“There has been a great response on social networks from all over Mexico. The demand for accommodations in our city has exceeded the expectations, therefore, reservations have been transfered to Juriquilla, Queretaro and Celaya, Guanajuato; which also offer good hotels, and the roads that connect these cities with SMA are in excellent conditions”.

Finally, Hoch concluded:  “last year we had 109,000 visitors. In this edition we believe that can surpass that number, as we carry out one of the best and the most complete festivals in our history.”
