Michoacan will participate in the second annual Food Festival San Miguel de Allende to be held on July 15 this year.

This event will involve about 45 chefs who seek to promote local and regional cuisine.

This participation, said Paulo Torres, director of Tourism Promotion of the Ministry of Tourism of Morelia, is part of the agreements between San Miguel de Allende and Cuna de José María Morelos as Heritage Cities to work together in the promotion of both destinations.

He explained that Morelia will participate with a stand where not only food will be offered, but also traditional sweets, “gazpachos morelianos” and “tenencias”  from Capula and San Nicolas Obispo, Michoacan.

For this festival, to be held in Hacienda los Picachos, special guests are the state of Tabasco and the Northern Africa country Morocco.
