According to visitmexico.com, the official website of the Tourism Ministry in Mexico, in Real de Catorce during the days of yore there was a town made of stone that was brimming with silver and able to build a then-unimaginable tunnel as a symbol of its power. This town had a twin, plundered and almost ghostly with wild dogs and the elderly awaiting death. It was there where adventurous youths sought answers, and still another world colored with the magnificent art of the Huichol people. Real de Catorce is a town with a stone face and the flavor of the desert.
