With a modern concept, which concentrates supplies and traditional recipes and gourmet products from around the world, on February 2 in San Miguel de Allende, a new market was inaugurated, as an alternative proposal made by young sanmiguelenses, aiming the promotion of local and world cuisine and support the tourism sector.
In the new market called “Centro”, you can find everything from organic good coffee, gourmet products and even tourism promoters in 27 stores, it is located in Codo street number 36 of San Miguel de Allende.
From Wednesday to Monday, the San Miguel Market “Centro” opens its doors from 9:00 a.m, and the close is unlimited. The “Centro” market could receive up to one 1,200 people in 27 stores, one weekend.
The Secretary of Tourism in Guanajuato, Fernando Olivera Rocha, said: “the “Centro” market is a cosmopolitan place, because there are inputs from various parts of our planet, but excel products from San Miguel and the surrounding area, offering beers, wines, cheeses, recipes and among many other things.
“Today the cuisine is an aim travel, therefore in Guanajuato we know and work about it. Consequently, we were named as “Iberoamerican Capital of Gastronomic Culture in 2015” where several events were celebrated; in that sense San Miguel de Allende achieves again to be a gastronomic center, and in one place is it” concluded Olivera.
