Are you an expat living permanently or temporarily in San Miguel de Allende looking to get back into action?

The San Miguel Times is looking for multi-tasking English speakers willing to work part-time in editorial and commercial representative roles.

The candidates selected for these positions will work remotely from San Miguel de Allende under the supervision of the Content Manager and Editor of parent company The Yucatan Times, which operates the highly successful website, The Yucatan Times based in Merida, Yucatan.

The commercial and editorial personnel will become icons within the San Miguel community while representing the San Miguel Times and positioning it as a vital asset for the local community in terms of media and advertising.

Editorial contributors to the San Miguel Times will have a forum to present their writing, photography, videos and other expression without censorship from our group.

Our Desired Qualifications and Skills:

EDITORIAL:

  • Native English speaker
  • Knowledge of Mexican culture (preferred)
  • Journalism experience (preferred)
  • Photography skills (preferred)
  • Good Public Relations skills
  • Basic writing skills
  • Basic computing skills
  • Able to meet daily deadlines

COMMERCIAL:

  • Native English speaker or full professional fluency
  • Knowledge of Mexican culture
  • Experience in sales, advertising and/or publicity
  • Good Public Relations skills
  • Basic writing skills
  • Basic computing skills
