“Expo Auto Guanajuato 2016” a world-class event in Irapuato

From Friday Sep. 16 through Sunday 18, the “Auto Expo Guanajuato 2016” will take place at “Inforum of Irapuato”. This expo is considered the largest gathering of classic, new and racing cars in the state of Guanajuato.

People attending the event will be able to see the most amazing cars. For this edition, the organizers expect an attendance at least 15,000 visitors and an economic impact of more than 16 million pesos (842 thousand USD).

The goal of this celebration is to create jobs, promote economic development, attract tourism and strengthen a family integration.

At a press conference, the CEO of Auto Expo GTO, Mauricio Fernández Granados declared that during the event  over 300 antique cars and more than 700 cars of specialized clubs will be in public exhibition.

Diverse national and international brands and models will be in display, such as Jaguar, Ford Mustang, Volkswagen, Renault, Corvette, Camaro, Mini Cooper and Dodge, among many others.

“We intend to have one of the best auto events at regional level. In the future, we hope to be a national reference in these kind of expos. For this occasion, we will have cars of different categories, such as Off Road 4×4, Dragsters, Drifting, NASCAR Mexico, and cars tha have participated in the “Carrera Panamericana”, said Fernández Rodriguez.

The following attractions will be presenting for this year:

The schedule is from 9 am to 9 pm, and a wide array of food trucks will be available to have breakfast, lunch or dinner onsite. Besides, a rock concert will take place at “el Palenque” inside the “Inforum” premises.

General addmission is $ 100 pesos ($6.25 USD), senior citizens (INAPAM) and students $ 50 pesos ($2.63 USD), children under 1.20 meters tall, free addmission.
