The beauty of living in an historically cultural treasure such as San Miguel is that there literally is something around every corner to inform us about our humanity and development if only we know what to see when we look around. San Miguel is especially rich in its offerings to the neophyte as well as to the professional.

Come to Rotary Tuesday, November 8, to hear a representative of the Mexican national institute of culture and anthropology, INAH, share more about San Miguel’s archeology, indigenous populations, spiritual roots, economics, architecture and urbanization. The meeting will be free and in English at 12:30 p.m. at Hotel Mision, Salida a Queretaro 1.

San Miguel’s inhabitants began their love affair here about 2,000 years ago.  This presentation will share insights about Atotonilco and the cultural interchange between Europe and America in stories about Mexico’s war for independence. All will learn more about the unique traditions that have made San Miguel the world-class place it is today. Whether your interest is in paleontology, artisanry, or the natural landscape, you will learn something thanks to investigations of 91 local archeology sites.

Whether it is through the style of furniture or the oral traditions, festivals or historic monuments, you will learn something that will deepen your love for this distinguished destination.  From military to private to public manifestations of San Miguel’s defining heritage, you will steep yourself in the cultural character of this region.

Learn more about Guanajuato, Dolores Hidalgo, Mineral de Pozos as well as San Miguel in this illuminating presentation authenticated by some of the best social scientists in the world.
