During the early morning hours of Monday October 17, five young men dressed as “creepy clowns” were arrested, as they were walking on Fray Servando Teresa de Mier street, at “Quintas del Marqués” uptown neighborhood in the city of Querétaro, according to state authorities.
Law enforcement authorities reported that the youngsters are from the state of Guanajuato, and stated that they came to Queretaro in order to tape a creepy clowns’ prank video.

The situation was reported to Emergency Number 066, as the three young men were causing fear among residents of “Quintas del Marqués”.
After the emergency call, state police officers arrived onsite in a matter of minutes, detaining the suspects, who were taken to a Civic Court, in which they were sanctioned with an economic penalty, and were released after paying a fine.
