“La Calaca” is an annual festival of participatory arts and culture in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico that is integrated into the traditional celebrations of ‘Day of the Dead’ (Dia de Muertos).
In 2016 La Calaca offers four days of art, performances, processions, workshops, conferences and parties that honor, promote and explore the themes and traditions surrounding death and its relationship to life.
Death is a part of life as much as life is a part of Death, and for that reason we invite you to celebrate it.
