Live “Magic Nights” at “Magic Towns” of Guanajuato

According to “El Sol de Toluca” news website, Guanajuato’s Tourism Secretariat in collaboration with the five “Magic Towns” of Guanajuato have prepared the program for the 4th edition of “Magic Nights”, that will take place from Thursday, October 28 to Sunday, November 6, expecting an assistance of more than 47,000 visitors with an economic impact of 14 million pesos (736 thousand USD).

This event will feature many cultural and gastronomic activities and exhibitions, such as The Hot Air Balloon Festival, light & sound, musical shows, pyrotechnia, parades and stilt walkers.

Besides, the Mexican pop band “Motel” will perform during the main event of this 4th edition, along with other groups.

Yuriria, is considered one of the most enchanting places in Guanajuato, it is located right next to lake Yuririapúndaro.

In the lake’s pier, a “Dragons’ Parade” will take place, this parade features the “hot air balloon baskets” throwing fire into the air.

Also, lanterns will be released, and these activities will be enlivened by a DJ and the pop group “Motel”.

In Jalpa de Canovas, approximately 30 miles from León, several DJs, the rock band “Arctic”, and brass bands “Guadalupita” and “Empire” will be performing on Saturday, October 29.

Salvatierra, Crowned by the Lerma River, Salvatierra offers visitors breathtaking sites for exploration and contemplation of its ancient religious structures, haciendas, plazas, parks, gardens and cobblestone streets.

In the former Hacienda de “San Jose del Carmen”, a Dragons’ Parade will be held, along with gastronomic exhibitions, lanterns, an “Altar de Muertos” and the presentation of “Love Afterlife” music group. Complementary tours of the town and its surroundings will be available for tourists.

Dolores Hidalgo, the cradle of Mexican Independence, will also host an artistic event with a dragons’ parade, a popular verbena, batucada, stilt walkers, lanterns and live rock music.

Finally, in Mineral de Pozos, the “Chichimeca” Battle will be staged along with an event of lanterns and music.
