Hyatt Place starts operating in Celaya, Guanajuato

Hyatt has arrived to the Bajío Region, opening its fifth hotel of the renown “Hyatt Place brand” in Mexico, this time in the city of Celaya, Guanajuato.

With an investiment of  120 million pesos (6 million USD), this new Hyatt hotel boasts high quality business class accomodations,  in Celaya and generates around 50 direct jobs.

One of the unique features that distiguishes the new Hyatt Place Celaya, is the service, exclusively designed for the Japanese travelers who constantly visit this municipality. In fact, the signage throughout the building is in three languages: Spanish, English and Japanese.

“It is the first hotel in Guanajuato with three-language signage, this was absolutely necessary to satisfy our Japanese guests, and make them feel more comfortable” said Daniel Mazzini, General Manager.

Mazzini continued: “There is a significant number of Japanese business people constantly visiting Celaya due to the installation of several Japanese manufacturing companies such as Honda, and soon to come Toyota in the neighboring municipality of Apaseo El Grande.”

During the official inauguration event, Michael Koffler, Hyatt’s Vice President of Operations for the Americas, stated: “Hyatt Place in Celaya is number 11 in Latin America, and this revolutionary brand’s concept is to make customers feel at home”.

Ricardo Aspe, promotion coordinator of the Guanajuato’s Secretariat of  Tourism, said: “there are more than 27,000 hotel rooms in the whole state of Guanajuato, and 87 new hotels are expected to open with an additional 6,500 rooms by 2018.

Along the country, Hyatt Place has started operating in Los Cabos, Tijuana, La Paz and Ciudad del Carmen, Campeche.

The hotel in Celaya features 145 rooms, a 24-hour operation gallery, buffet breakfast included, coffee bar, meeting rooms, gym, business center, basic utilities and free internet.
