Ottawa, Canada – From day one in Canada, the visit of the Governor of Querétaro, Francisco Domínguez Servién, achieved important investments for the state.
Domínguez announced that: “EXO-S, a Canadian company will be making an investment of around 370 million pesos (18.5 million USD) in the municipality of San Juan del Río, and generate 350 direct jobs.”
“Thank you very much for your trust in San Juan del Rio; thank you very much for your confidence and we will not disappoint you. What Querétaro offers is its human capital, the young (and not so young) people of our state that is willing to work in the automotive sector, in thename of all of them, we thank you once again,” said Domínguez Servién to high executives of this company.
“After two years in Querétaro, EXO-S is willing to expand their operation in this attractive and safe state to invest.”
“As Gov. Domínguez said, Querétaro offers specialized human resources in constant training along with the local industrial parks infrastructure”, stated Mexico’s Ambassador in Canada, Agustín García López.
The investment project includes the construction of a laboratory, expansion of two existing facilities on its current site and the construction of a new industrial complex.
Consul General of Mexico in Montreal, Alejandro Estivill; ProMexico Commercial Counselor in Montreal, Joel Enríquez; EXO-S CEO, Emmanuel Duchesne; EXO-S CFO, Daniel Denault; EXO-S Director of Finance, Administration and Business Development, Francois Ouellet; and Queretaro’s Secretary of Sustainable Development, Marco Del Prete Tercero were present during this announcement.
Additionally, Domínguez Servién and his delegation met with suppliers and customers of BRP, in order to deliver Querétaro’s proposal for this company to increase its investment along the state.
During his first day in Canada, the Governor also held a meeting with top executives of AeroMontreal, aiming to lay the foundation for signing a collaboration agreement on technology transfer, academic liaison, chain supply and good practices.
