Querétaro Museum of Water a “Droplet design”

On Thursday, October 27th, the winning ‘Droplet‘ design was chosen by Querétaro State authorities and business organizations for the “Querétaro Museum of Water”; which is based on sustainability, proposing a “metal construction” and using specialized environmental-friendly materials, such as terracrete, solar panels, low energy, lighting devices, etc.

During the awards ceremony, 19 architecture firms received an award for their participation; one of them was chosen as the winner and obtained the contract for the remodeling of this new water specialized knowledge center.

The Mexican architects Manuel Resendiz and Aldair Enrique Juarez won the competition. They explained that the project is based on “integral education”, “architecture renewal” and architectural significance.

The remodeling works include the existing construction and the preservation of green areas and waterways.

Meanwhile, Abedrop Enrique Rodriguez, member of Queretaro’s College of Architects, said: “Querétaro Museum of Water that will be located within Queretaro’s 2000 Park , and it aims to promote the culture of water conservation in the city.

Finally, the President of Queretaro’s College of Architects, Zasha Lezama Lomeli concluded: “only members of our college participated in this competition, and 19 proposals were delivered. With these kind of projects, we confirmed the great ability of our architects to create amazing designs, specially environmental-friendly and featuring sustainable materials.
