12 injured as freight train impacts passenger bus in Querétaro

A freight train accidentally crashed against a passenger bus in Queretaro, leaving a toll of 12 injured, fortunately, none of them seriously.

The accident occurred on the evening of Tuesday December 27, when the train hit the Route 81 Bus, at “Bernardo Quintana” Boulevard, next to “Access III”.

Emergency forces, including Municipal and State Civil Protection, CRUM, Paramedics, CCUM, Mexican Red Cross, and police corporations of the Municipality of Querétaro arrived at the scene to carry out the rescue operation.

The freight train hit the left side of the passenger bus while this was circulating on “Bernardo Quintana” Boulevard in direction of “Avenida Revolución” in Querétaro.

The passenger bus was full, and at least 12 people resulted injured, however, paramedics determined that it was not necessary to take any of them to the hospital.

Officers of the Municipal and State Police carried out an investigation to clarify the facts, and establish responsibilities.
