GUANAJUATO / DOLORES HIDALGO.- Although during the day of December 21, 10 gas stations in the city of Guanajuato operated normally, the situation changed during the evening and long lines of vehicles outside these businesses could be observed at “Euquerio Guerrero Boulevard” and the station at “DIF Estatal”.

On the other hand, entrepreneurs of Dolores Hidalgo urged authorities to inform the public about this matter, to avoid “panic buys”.

So far, various employees had pointed out that fuel sales are business as usual in Guanajuato capital, as they had not increased as expected due to lack of fuel in Silao, Romita and León.

Even one of the workers from the San José de la Luz said: ” A while ago, a pipe filled with red gas came to supply us, but it is still waiting, since the tanks are not available to receive the fuel.”

However, dozens of cars were seen lined up in the southern settlements of the city, as well as in “San Javier” and “Noria Alta”.

In Dolores Hidalgo, businessmen of the hydrocarbons sector issued a document in which they ask the state governor to intervene, so they can continue to supply Pemex Diesel, Pemex Magna and Pemex Premium from the Terminal, located in the municipality of Irapuato, Guanajuato, where the entire production of the Salamanca refinery is received. “

They point out that the gas stations in the city have only one product or none, so they are supplied from the port terminals of Lázaro Cárdenas, Michoacán; Manzanillo, Colima, and Tula, Hidalgo (which are farther from the city). They also request in another document the municipal authorities to inform the public about the situation.
