Guanajuato is ranked among the 10 states with the best salaries in the country.
The list of states with the best salaries is headed by Mexico City, with an average monthly income for professionals of $15,553 pesos (706 USD), according to “Labor Observatory (Observatorio Laboral) report”, recently published on its website, which retrieves information from the National Survey of Occupation and Employment (ENOE – Encuesta Nacional de Ocupación y Empleo) of the third quarter of 2016.
In Guanajuato, the average monthly salary for the third quarter of 2016 was $11,762 pesos (534 USD), showing an increase of 166 pesos (7.5 USD), above the beginning of the year, when ENOE recorded an average income of $11,596 pesos (527 USD).
Right behind Mexico City, Nuevo León is the second state where professionals are better remunerated, with an average monthly salary of $14,037 pesos (638 USD). And Chihuahua comes in third place, with an average monthly income of $13,999 pesos (636 USD).
