In the morning of Sunday January 22, thousands of León Guanajuato residents enjoyed a vibrant and colorful parade which commemorated the 441st anniversary of the foundation of this city. A place where “life is worth nothing” (La vida no vale nada), according to iconic Mexican composer José Alfredo Jimenez’s famous song.

For this year, the theme “Magical stories” was chosen to astonish thousands of attendees, and which purpose was to encourage children to read, and to get involved in the exciting world of literature.

Several stories were evoked by fantastic living characters, making children laugh and adults remember the best memories of their childhood.
