“Mixta”- unique bohemian and eclectic shop in San Miguel

Travel&Leisure magazine collaborator Ann Summa, describes one of the most bohemian stores in Mexico: “Mixta”.

According to Summa, this shop sells cool women’s clothing by local designers, hand-woven shirts for men, jewelry, and accessories in one of the oldest buildings in San Miguel that still bears original frescoes and inner patio.

Among the extensive guide of San Miguel Allende on Sunset.com, Summa recommends to explore this colorful space, explaining that this little shop boasts a perusable bohemian mix ranging from colorful table runners, to cool (and affordable) necklaces and earrings, to folk art.

Inside one of the most beautiful spaces in San Miguel de Allende, a historic house dating back to the late 1700’s on Pila Seca Street, you will find a wonderful shop that sells a unique array of merchandise.

The store opened in July 2007 with the philosophy of featuring an eclectic mix of local, national and international products while supporting artists and their communities.

The Mixta collection includes distinctive jewelry, interesting custom design furniture, one-off clothing, creative greeting cards and a variety of home decors and furnishings.
