SAN MIGUEL DE ALLENDE, Gto.- Local authorities are looking to recruit young musicians who wish to belong to the Symphony Orchestra of this municipality, and the invitation is open to all in San Miguel Allende.
In that sense, Authorities of the Directorate of Culture and Traditions (Dirección de Cultura y Tradiciones) announced that the selected young musicians will earn a monthly scholarship.
“We are seeking to support the development of the artistic talent in San Miguel,” Municipal officers said in a statement.

All interested must send a video with fragments of the following works:
- Egmont – Ludwig Van Beethoven
- Huapango – José Pablo Moncayo
- Danzón No. 2 – Arturo Márquez
- Conga de Fuego – Arturo Márquez
- Finland – Jean Sibelius and
- Carmen Suite No. 1 – Georges Bizet.

The deadline is Sunday, January 22rd, 2017.
Requirements
- To own an instrument
- To be responsible and serious about music
- To have an attitude of commitment
- To have availability of time to rehearse from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm on Saturdays.
