Violent weekend in San Miguel leave six dead, including three children

Three children were killed during a shooting in the outskirts of SMA, this information was confirmed by the State Attorney General’s Office.

A police operation to raid a farm located on the San Miguel-Dolores Highway, triggered a firefight in which three innocent children were killed. The father, allegedly a private security agent, was arrested.

According to the PGJE, at the end of the confrontation, police agents entered the premises and found the 3 lifeless bodies of the children that were 4, 8 and 11 years old respectively.

“During the early morning hours of Saturday January 14, a report was received that armed people had occupied a farm, located near “La Cieneguita “in kilometer 4 of the San Miguel-Dolores Highway.

When the law enforcement agents arrived, they were attacked and repelled the aggression, posteriorly the road was closed and Mexican Army personnel provided support to secure the area.


Another three murders were registered during the weekend in the neighborhoods of San Miguel, Villas de León and in the Barrio de Santiago.

One of the victims was a 16-year-old boy, who got involved in a street fight and ended up with a bullet in the head.

The corpse of the young man, whose name was not revealed by authorities, was located on Calle Gutiérrez Nájera on the corner with Calle Rosa de Castilla.

 

A drive-by shooting took place at Colonia Villas de León, where subjects aboard a van fired on a young man who was hanging out with friends outside his home.

Finally, around 6:15 pm, in a commercial plaza located at the Barrio de San Miguel, another man was killed with a gun shot and a woman who was with him was injured.
