Querétaro to participate in Mexico City’s International Book Fair

Querétaro will participate in the International Book Fair at the Mining Palace (Palacio de Minería), according to the official program announced on Wednesday February 8 in a press conference.

The director of Artistic Education and Cultural Services (Educación Artística y Servicios Culturales), teacher Rafael Mata Salinas, who spoke on behalf of the Secretary of Culture, Paulina Aguado, explained that about 280 artists from Querétaro, among writers, painters and musicians will feature their work during the fair.

Almost 1,500 activities will be carried out during this international book fair, such as reflections, studies, conferences and talks about the mother tongues of México.

“As we know, México City is home of many a prestigious poet, such as Francisco Cervantes”, explained Rafael Mata.

The FIL at the Mining Palace will take place from Thursday February 23 to Monday March 6 a this traditional venue (part of UNAM’s School of Engineering) in downtwon México City.
