22 lb of ‘Glass’ secured at Querétaro’s Intercontinental Airport

In the early morning hours of Thursday, March 2nd , the Mexican Army secured ten kilograms (22 pounds) of the drug known as ‘glass’ or ‘ice’, during an operation carried out in a warehouse located inside Querétaro’s Intercontinental Airport.

During the inspection, the 17th Regiment Mechanized Military personnel found a package containing 10 kg (22 lb) of this liilegal substance, using X-ray.

The mentioned package presented inconsistencies, reason why it was separated from the rest, and then it was inspected.

The operation was carried out with the support of a K9 unit, and specialized agents who detected three cardboard boxes with a fiberglass container inside. There were eighteen plastic bags inside the container with a white powder featuring the characteristics of the drug known as ‘glass’, with an approximate weight of 10,880 kilos (22.5 lb).

The 17th Military Zone reported that, the shipment was ensured at the Queretaro Intercontinental Airport, and the ten kilograms of “glass” were delivered to the corresponding federal authorities.
