Convenience stores donate funds to improve San Miguel’s General Hospital

SAN MIGUEL DE ALLENDE, Gto – A total of $380,974 pesos were donated to the General Hospital Felipe G. Dobarganes in San Miguel de Allende. These resources were obtained through a collection made in a large number of convenience stores with “the rounding program”.

The donation was collected during a period from January to February 2017, and part of this money will be allocated to San Miguel’s General Hospital, which monthly serves more than 350 people. Over 10 years this hospital has increased its needs.

Alberto Villarreal, President of the Board of the Hospital Municipal authorities, reported that the DIF is the first institution to receive benefits from this program.

“We used the funds in the purchase of material for the eight “community” kindergardens, as well as the social assistance program,” said Emilia Vega, president of DIF.

During the ceremony, Alberto Villarreal received the symbolic check from the hostel’s premises by Antonieta García, a counselor at the commercial store.

Jorge Vidargas, director of the Hospital, thanked the participation of altruistic people and companies that support the noble causes for the benefit of those who need it most.
