Volaris expands Querétaro-U.S. flights as part of an international strategy

As of Tuesday May 16th, Mexican airline Volaris will add two new Querétaro routes to Los Angeles and Chicago to significantly reinforce their presence in North America and maintain more flights to several cities in different seasons.

In 2012, Volaris inaugurated a base in Querétaro, in which the company provides connectivity to the three major cities in México: Cancún, Monterrey and Tijuana. At the end of January the airline was already operating 100 monthly flights.

Enrique Beltranena, Volaris Director, said: “Volaris is seeking to provide greater international connectivity to Querétaro with low and affordable rates, to bring family and friends closer together, to boost tourism and business between the city of Querétaro and major U.S. cities such as Los Angeles and Chicago”.

“Today, we are pleased to say that, we are the only airline offering these international destinations with the new two non-stop flights. Our commitment is clear, to boost Querétaro, as a state that grows exponentially due its important industry which is dynamic, diverse and competitive,” said the manager.

Beltrana continued: “Volaris currently operates under the point-to-point scheme, a strategy that has allowed them to generate new routes and reach different markets.”

Recently, REPORTUR.mx published that, Volaris was on the list of airlines that will receive some of the first eight pairs of slots (take-off and landing times) at Mexico City International Airport, amongst other international air carriers.
