The most important gastronomic fair in the state of Querétaro, and possibly the entire region, will be the 4th edition of Gastronomic Festival El Marqués, which will be held on April 29 and 30 at the “Plaza San Pedro de La Cañada”, in the municipality of “El Marqués”.
The fair aims to strengthen the family junction and to boost the economy of this region, thanks to the tourism generated by visitors from the state and neighboring states with Querétaro. This event will benefit 200 families directly, and indirectly the entire municipality of “El Marqués”.
During this edition the delegations from Oaxaca, Puebla and Michoacán will participate featuring delicatessen dishes, such as mole and enchilada. Therefore, for this occasion and first time this fair will have an important relevance nationwide.
Gabriela Moreno Mayorga, Member of Querétaro’s Labor Party (PT), said that this celebration has become one of the most important gastronomic festivals statewide and nationwide.
During the last edition, 10,000 people visited and tried the most exquisite Mexican dishes. In this regard, this year the organizing committee expects more than 20,000 attendees.
On the other hand, José Altamirano López, coordinator of the Marqués’ Labor Party, stressed that the fair is carried out without profit and is organized by the civil association “Unidad de Valor y Compromiso por Querétaro”.
