Events for the Period:

As of this traffic report, Cross Border Xpress (CBX) users at the Tijuana airport will be reported within the international passenger category.

Seats and Load Factors:

In March 2017, GAP registered an 11.3% increase in the number of seats available compared to March 2016. Load factors for the month decreased by 2.9 percentage points, from 81.1% in March 2016 to 78.2% in March 2017. The decrease is due to the fact that the Easter holiday for 2016 took place in March, while for 2017 this will take place in April.

2016 was a leap year, and for comparison purposes, one should add – besides the Easter holiday effect – 112,500 passengers, which was GAP’s daily passenger average for the first 3 months of 2017.

New Routes:

  • Guanajuato to Zihuatanejo: TAR
  • Guadalajara to Culiacan: Aeromar
  • Guadalajara to Puerto Vallarta: Aeromar
  • Guadalajara to Puerto Vallarta: AereoCalafia
  • Guadalajara to Milwaukee: Volaris
