The tourist parador “Sangre de Cristo“, just behind the Cubilete Hill (geographic center of the Mexican Republic), offers a series of activities for all tourists, which features an incredible open space, landscapes and unforgettable sky views. Besides, there are two museums nearby: the Mining and the Traveling Mummies (Momias viajeras).

The history of the state of Guanajuato cannot be understood without the mining activity that was the main economic activity for many cities in this state for two centuries. The Mining Museum rescues and tells the story of this industry which has given Guanajuato its identity.

The Museum “Momias Viajeras” displays a collection of 36 mummified bodies that tour several cities along México.

Sangre de Cristo has also a hostel that looks to serve the hundreds of pilgrims that visit the Cubilete Hill and the sculpture of Christ the King. This hostel also shows a typical square of Guanajuato, in which different cultural activities take place regularly.

To enjoy the typical food of Guanajuato, visitors can go to the Gastronomic Market where several dishes of the so-called “mining cuisine” are offered.

There are also services such as pharmacy, restaurants, grocery stores and art galleries.
