According to Televisa News, a three-year-old boy fell into a water well in the community known as “March 18”, in the municipality of Villagrán, Guanajuato.

His stepfather, the boy and a group of young people were hunting hares in the mountain area near the community when the child suddenly disappeared, as reported by his own relatives.

They pointed out that the last place, where he was seen, was near the water well about 80 meters deep, in the place known as “The Crow” (El Cuervo), so it is presumed that he fell in the pitt.

After the report, different emergency services arrived on site to carry out an operation, and try to rescue the child from the bottom of the well.

Despite the efforts, the rescuers have not been able to locate the child and it remains unknown if he is still alive because there is mud at the bottom of the well, and he could’ve sunk in.

It is expected that in the next few hours, members of the specialized “Topos” squad from Mexico City will arrive to assist in the rescue works.

So far the municipal and state authorities have not provided any additional information on the situation.
