3rd Edition of San Miguel Food Festival to take place from June 30 to July 2

The San Miguel Food festival will be held from June 30 to July 2, featuring national and international chefs such as Raphael Lunetta, Evan Mallet, Guy Santoro and Juantxo Sánchez, among others.

According to Sabores.mx, the 3rd edition of this gastronomic and cultural event will take place from June 30 to July 2 at the “Otomí Horse Riding Club”, where some of the most outstanding national and international chefs will get together to showcase their most exquisite creations.

The food festival will kick off on June 30th, but on the evening of June 28th, a special dinner will be held in San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato, a city recognized worldwide for its historical richness and designated World Cultural Heritage by UNESCO. The funds raised will go to benefit the Center for Integral Rehabilitation (CRISMA).

One of the most important features is to bring together several chefs with diverse gastronomic influences, so that they interact, collaborate and elaborate special meals, unique dishes that will be an incredible gastronomic experience for all attendees.

In this concept known as “pop up”, guests will try interesting dishes elaborated by international and national chefs, in a space specially created by local artists known as “The Chef’s Table”.

In this edition, the food festival will be attended by renowned chefs such as Raphael Lunetta, creator of the JiRaffe restaurant in Santa Monica, California. Besides, the American chef Evan Mallet, owner of the Black Trumpet restaurant in New Hampshire, as well as Guy Santoro, French specialized chef who currently lives in México.

In addition, the Spanish Chef Juantxo Sánchez (“El Lago” and “Las Mañanitas”), and Aquiles Chávez, renowned chef in our country for his restaurants “La Fisheria”. Both chefs are currently Top Chef Mexico TV show judges.

National chefs Antonio de Livier (also known as the Panga del Impostor), Diego Hernández-Baquedano (Corazón de Tierra), Dante Ferrero (Alode), Tomás Bermúdez (La Docena) and Francisco Ruano (Mayor), Marcela Bolaño (Marsala, Kitchen with Accents), Javier Plasencia (Mission 19, Finca Altozano), Anahid Korkor, Fernanda Covarrubias (La Postreria), Juan Emilio Villaseñor (La Cocinoteca) and Donnie Masterton (The Restaurant).

Other participant chefs are: Jorge Pérez-Luque, Mónica Solís, Anahid Korkor, Lucy Noriega, Guillermo Horacio, Gonzalo Urbina Castelar, Lupita Vidal, Zajar Campos, Sofía Sahagún, Jorge Obregón, Arístides Barreda, Nelly Córdova Morillo, and Santi Aleck Pirsch, who is a 14-year-old chef.

The musical proposal will be in charge of groups specialized in alternative Mexican music such as: Timothy Brownie, Renee Mooi, Jósean Log, Makupa, Lady Zen, The Musick Brothers and Moda no, along with Los Rabeats and Fito Delgado.
