American icon Milck to perform at 2017 Guanajuato International Film Festival

According to Notimex, the American singer MILCK, author of “Quiet”, considered a hymn against violence and inequality, will be performing on July 21 during the opening of the Guanajuato International Film Festival (GIFF).

This year thousands of citizens protested in Washington, DC, after Donald Trump assumed the presidency of the United States, exercising their right to protest and defending their society’s integrity.

During the mobilization, Connie Lim, better known as MILCK, performed outside a chapel accompanied by a group of 26 women, and they sang “Quiet”, a song which she wrote in response to her personal experience of physical and sexual abuse.

According to a statement, the video went viral through social networks, but beyond that, the issue became a hymn of equity ini the U.S. and throughout the world.
