In Guanajuato, mechanical engineering and metallurgy specialists receive the best salaries with an average of $16,840 pesos ($935 USD) per month.

According to data from the Labor Observatory (observatorio laboral), the professionals in Mechanical Engineering and Metallurgy have an average monthly income of $16,840 pesos ($935 USD) in the state of Guanajuato. At the national level, the average income is around $13,657 pesos ($758.72 USD).

Therefore, they are catalogued as the best paid professionals statewide.

These job occupations, are mostly related to mechanical engineering and metallurgy careers such as mechanical engineer and mechanical design engineer, professionals who usually design and develop manufacturing projects involving engines, equipment, industrial machines and construction machinery”, underlined the website of the Labor Observatory.

Not many women are interested in this career, since only 5.7% of the employed professionals who decide to dedicate to this profession are female, according to the Labor Observatory.
