Japanese companies to invest 30 million dollars in Guanajuato

GUANAJUATO, Gto (AP) – Three new Japanese corporations will invest a total of $30 million dollars statewide, thanks to the confidence they have in our state and our country, said Governor Miguel Márquez Márquez.

At the conclusion of the five-day tour through Japan, the governor declared that “it was very important because we continue generating good ties and attracting investments for the sake of the state of Guanajuato.”

The companies that will arrive are Minamida, Ogawa and Kyoto Platec, the last one will begin operations at the end of year and will be located in the Industrial Park Santa Fe III, located in Guanajuato “Puerto Interior”.

Minamida has plans to settle in the Pilba Leon Industrial Park, Ogawa will be in the Santa Fe III Industrial Park, Guanajuato Puerto Interior, in April and June next year respectively, said Márquez Marquez.

“In addition, as a result of this working tour, Toyota executives confirmed significant investments on new projects in our state”, continued the governor.

Marquez added that among the various activities that were carried out, three seminars were held, where they talked about the advantages and investment opportunities in Guanajuato. Two of them took place in Nagoya, Toyota headquarters; and another seminar was held in Tokyo, where more than 70 companies participated.

The delegation also met with directors of OKB Bank, an institution that financially supports investments of Japanese origin in Guanajuato.
