Querétaro will host “‘Aerospace Meetings’” every two years

Starting on 2018, Querétaro will be hosting the most important aerospace industry summit, where more than 300 companies from 15 countries will meet, as it happens every two years in this state.

The Mexico’s Aerospace Meetings is an event that brings together 300 companies in the aeronautical sector and registers about 4,500 business meetings every two years. For this occasion, it will take place from February 20 to 22, 2018 in the state of Querétaro.

Previously, this aeronautical business meeting was held in Guadalajara, Jalisco. However, the budget issue had been a factor against to maintain the headquarters in this city.

For this reason, the Querétaro’s government asked BCI Aerospace to be named the new venue for this great event. BCI Aerospace is a company founded in 1996 with the objective of boosting business between companies specialized in aeronautics, space and defense.

Hundreds of companies from 15 different countries will gather at the Querétaro Convention Center, which expects to receive more than 1,200 international visitors, with the goal of strengthen commercial ties or to start commercial relationships with partners and suppliers from the aeronautical industry.

Francisco Domínguez Servién, Governor of Querétaro, made the announcement in Paris, France, where the world’s largest aerospace fair, the Paris Air Show, is held every year.

Domínguez Servién published on his Twitter account: “We have more #BuenasNoticias! (Good News!), along with #BCI we have brought an Aerospace Fair to our state. #YoconfíoenQuerétaro (I trust in Querétaro). There will be more than 4,500 business meetings that will strengthen our economy and boost our development”.

“I believe in Querétaro for its geographic location, terrestrial and air connectivity as well as its wonderful logistics infrastructure, the best in central Mexico, including one of the six interior customs offices in the country”, highlighted the official.

Domínguez Servién added that Querétaro has “strong links between productive sectors, universities, research centers and government. In that sense, we are national leaderships on productivity, competitiveness and job creation”.

The state’s secretary of Sustainable Development, Marco Antonio Del Prete Tercero along with the director of the Industrial Development, Guillermo Lozano Lozano and the general director of BCI, Stephane Castet attended the announcement ceremony.

‘Aerospace Meetings’ is a platform that connects companies that offer capabilities and services related to the aeronautical sector, as well as suppliers and sellers of this sector who are seeking to boost their business.
