Travel and Leisure magazine selected San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato, as the best city in the world in its ranking of cities in 2017.
The world-famous publication highlights San Miguel’s enviable climate that allows it to be visited at any time of the year.
Fernando Olivera, Secretary of Tourism of the state of Guanajuato, was the person in charge of officially receiving this important recognition.
During the World´s Best Awards 2017 ceremony that took place in NYC on Wednesda July 26, Olivera Rocha received the Travel + Leisure magazine award for Best City in the World on behalf of San miguel de Allende Guanajuato.
The State Secretary of Tourism underlined that the strategic alliances and the combined effort by Federal, State and Municipal governments were vital to obtain this important award.
