In February 2014 Honda started operations in Celaya, Guanajuato with the goal of producing 200,000 units a year for the export market and generating more than 3,000 direct jobs and more than 1,500 indirect jobs on its transmission plant.

And finally, on August 3, the Honda Fit 2018, a 100% assembled in Guanajuato vehicle, was officially presented in a ceremony.

“The goal is that the different branches of the brand can have sales throughout Mexico and North America”, Honda reported in a special bulletin.

“Honda of Mexico introduced the all renewed “Made in Mexico” Honda Fit 2018, which offers a much more sophisticated and sporty image, new equipment and the versatility that has always distinguished it to adapt to different lifestyles”.

“In this, its third generation, Honda Fit has become a benchmark of the segment, thanks to its quality, technology and practical interior space, which can be exploited in many ways, thanks to the versatility of the “Space4You” exclusive Honda technology,” the bulletin said.

It was also announced that the Honda Fit 2018 will be produced in five colors: milano red, glass black, steel, orchid white and sport blue, in prices ranging from 249,000 to 288,700 pesos.

“Honda Fit is a model proudly assembled at the Honda plant in Celaya, Guanajuato, and it is for sale in Mexico from August 2107, through the country’s Honda dealership network”
