FOATUR: For a sustainable, conscious and innovative tourism in San Miguel

FOATUR: Annual Forum of Tourism Actors.

Developed within the framework of the “International Tourism Day”, FOATUR is part of the proposal made by the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) to celebrate the “International Year of Sustainable Tourism for Development” 2017 in San Miguel de Allende.

Objectives:
– Improve awareness of the experience and / or practice of all stakeholders (including tourists), regarding the impact of travel and tourism on society and the environment.

– How responsible travel can contribute to sustainable development.

– Make all service providers in the region recognize and strengthen the importance of tourism culture in SMA .

– Provide participants with tools for the development of new entrepreneurs in the tourism industry and promote the creation of new tourism products.

Event’s program:
FOATUR features conferences, lectures, panels, workshops, and an exhibition area with 35 stands.

With their access ticket, attendees participate in the draw of different tourist experiences in San Miguel de Allende and the big draw is for a double trip to Cozumel, Quintana Roo!

To close the event, there will be a stroll through the historical center of SMA and closing cocktail to celebrate the International Day of Tourism and create a network among all the attendees.

Quintana Roo is the guest state, so they will bring a great cultural show.
