Guanajuato Red Cross rescue team travels to Mexico City

With the participation of Mexican Red Cross members from throughout the state of Guanajuato, the Delegation of Celaya serves as donation center for the victims of the Mexico City earthquake.

The President of the Board of Directors of the Mexican Red Cross, Celaya Delegation, Eugenio Clark Solter, emphasized that once the damage analysis was carried out by experts from the National Red Cross Headquarters in Mexico City, the Emergency Medical Technicians (TUMs) of this institution in Guanajuato started operations.

He noted that in Celaya there is qualified personnel to deal with disaster situations, so it is expected that members of the Celaya Delegation will be traveling to Mexico City.

The State Subcoordinator and Local Relief Coordinator, Martín Rosas López, stated that Celaya will receive staff from Abasolo, San Miguel de Allende, León, Manuel Doblado and Acámbaro, in order to carry out the registration of personnel, equipment and units involved in the rescue works.

Clark Solter reiterated that the institution has protocols established through National Headquarters, so it is waiting for indications to carry out more aid actions, as is the case of donation centers, which have not been opened all over the state of Guanajuato.
