Guanajuato to set up new Guiness World Record with largest Churro!

The 2017 International Air-balloon Festival (Festival Internacional del Globo) will have novelties and during this year’s edition, the state of Guanajuato will seek to set up a new Guiness World record by preparing the largest churro in the in the planet.

Highlighting the achievement made in 2014, in which more than 4 thousand people gathered to fix the largest artificial “geyser” made with Coca-cola and Mentos, now the people of León are looking forward to come up with the largest churro, as part of the festivities during the Festival Internacional del Globo 2017.

The event will be held on Sunday, November 19th at 9:00 am at the FIG Aerodrome.

What is Churro?

churro is a a long, slender, deep-fried pastry resembling a cruller. Its fried-dough pastry—predominantly choux—makes a delicious snack. In Spain, churros can either be thin (and sometimes knotted) or long and thick, where they are known as porras in some regions.

In Mexico it is common to end your meal on a happy note with an excellent churro, dipped into a cup of delicious hot chocolate!
