With one daily flight, Aeromexico-Delta airlines inaugurated their new route Queretaro-Atlanta on Wednesday November 1.
At a press conference, the executive director of Aeromexico, Akon Van Der Welf, highlighted the importance of this flight to the city of Atlanta since it is one of the largest air hubs in the world with 106 million connected passengers.
He said that the dynamism of Queretaro’s economy has been the key factor in the commitment to this state, and that this alliance between the airlines could open new domestic and international destinations from the Queretaro Intercontinental Airport.
In this regard the head of the Sedesu, Marco Antonio del Prete Tercero, said that the Intercontinental Airport of Querétaro was ranked as the airport with the highest growth rate in Mexico in terms of passengers with a 53 percent, when the national average is 10 percent.
As of yesterdaythe Aeromexico-Delta alliance offers one direct round-trip flight between these two cities every day; departing at 6:30 am, and arriving at 11:30 in Atlanta; and returning at 6:30 pm and landing in Queretaro at 11:30 pm.
Finally, Akon Van Der Welf informed that the Aeromexico-Delta aircraft that will be covering this route is an Embraer 190 with a capacity of 99 seats, 11 seats premier class and 88 tourist class.
